Dry ice blasting is a cleaning process that uses solid carbon dioxide pellets (dry ice) as the blasting medium. The pellets are accelerated in a pressurized air stream and directed at a surface to clean it. Upon impact, the dry ice pellets convert into gas, which creates a mini-explosion on the surface being cleaned. This mini-explosion helps to remove contaminants like dirt, grime, paint, or other coatings from the surface. 

There is no secondary waste when it comes to dry ice blasting which makes it the perfect tool for countless applications. Contaminants which are blasted either freeze and drop to the floor or vaporize, eliminating messes that can be caused through traditional cleaning methods such as pressure washing or grit blasting. The dry ice never becomes a liquid, turning directly into a gas - this is crucial when cleaning in electrical/high voltage environments.
